Jennifer Chislett is a Sound Recordist in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. She received training from Hammerhead TV Facilities and on the RTS award winning drama ‘The Bill’.

SOUND/ENGINEERING ASSISTANT

Jennifer was employed by talkbackThames on the RTS Award Winning Continuing Drama ‘The Bill’ between 2007 & 2008. She received training from top Sound Recordists and Assistants and took on a number of tasks including basic repairs, editing cctv footage for use on the show, recording sound effects for post production including the new police sirens, and of course helped out on shoots operating the boom, fitting radio mics, and collecting atmospheric sound for post. This employment gave her a vital understanding of TV programme making, and a wealth of experience gained from shooting at a large number of locations around London.

EQUIPMENT PREPARATION TECHNICIAN / RUNNER

Jennifer was employed by Hammerhead TV Facilities between 2005 & 2007, here she began as a Runner and her duties involved delivering kits to various crews at locations across London and the surrounding areas. She progressed to an Equipment preparation technician and was responsible for preparing the kits that went out to clients. She was heavily involved with providing the kit for BBC Holby City, BBC Trawlermen, BBC Last Man Standing and A1GP. She gained knowledge of and basic repair skills for lights, cameras, grip and sound equipment and developed a skill for cable making and repair.

During her time at Hammerhead she helped out on a number of shoots as a driver and later on BBC Culture Show as a Sound Runner.
